PART TWO -LONDON
13 December 2022- 22 December 2022
Paul and I went to the musical-Newsies. It was great! Set in New York in 1860 based on a true story of teenage newspaper sellers fight for justice. The dancing was aerobic, energetic and amazing, the choreography fantastic as was the stage setting. You walked through a scene to get to your seats, it was held at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.
Paul enjoyed a day at the RAF Museum. Paul found it interesting to see how far flight has developed since the first flight in 1903 by the Wright brothers.
With Sam and Jade we went to the longest running show "The Mousetrap". It is a murder mystery play by Agatha Christie. The Mousetrap opened in London's West End in 1952. Was a great show and Sam was the best detective- but we can't tell you who dunnit!!
Waiting for Mousetrap to start at St Martin's Theatre- we were in the gods but still a great view! With Jade we had a great dinner at a Cheese Bar- a conveyor belt type dinner. They weren't dinners but cheese samples with a condiment.
Had a fab weekend with Jade in Dover, our accommodation was a cave! We spent a whole day at Dover Castle and we also enjoyed a morning stroll along the Cliffs of Dover.
Spent so long at the castle the sunset whilst we were there!
I went to outside Buckingham Palace to watch the band play for changing of the guards and watched the horse guards change on Horse Guard Parade Ground. Beautiful horses!! Even though it was winter and raining there was a large crowd outside Buckingham Palace.
